Aware Space is a place created for people who want to better understand themselves, their emotions, and their relationships, without pressure to change and without imposed, ready-made solutions. Our approach combines contemporary psychology, neurobiology, evidence-based coaching, and embodied and mindfulness-based work, creating conditions for real and lasting growth.
We understand that many of the difficulties people face do not stem from a lack of willpower or motivation, but from an overwhelmed nervous system, early relational experiences, and survival strategies that were once necessary. That is why, instead of “fixing yourself,” we invite you to deepen self-awareness, rebuild a sense of safety, and gently reconnect with who you truly are.
Awareness
You don’t know what you don’t know – until awareness begins to emerge.
You begin to see yourself clearly — without fear, without masks.
Wisdom
Within you lies the key to unlocking your potential.
Your body remembers more deeply than your mind.
Connection + Community
We are not meant to do everything on our own.
You no longer have to carry everything on your own.
What is Aware Space?
Aware Space was created from a combination of personal experience and many years of education in the fields of psychology, trauma work, relationships, and nervous system regulation.
We draw inspiration, among others, from approaches based on polyvagal theory, attachment theory, and research on the impact of trauma and stress on the body, emotions, and behavior.
Our understanding of growth aligns closely with the work of authors such as Gabor Maté, who emphasizes the role of early experiences and environment in shaping emotional responses, and Bessel van der Kolk, who points to the body and the nervous system as central to the processes of healing and integration.
We create a space where growth is not about pushing beyond yourself, but about understanding your own reactions, emotions, and attachment patterns. We work with what truly impacts quality of life: stress, tension, childhood patterns, relationships, boundaries, and self-worth. You can read more about how we work and what guides our approach in a dedicated section.

Because stress and tension don’t disappear on their own
- Without regulation and support, stress accumulates in the body as tension, irritability, fatigue, emotional numbness, or sudden emotional outbursts.
- Over 70% of our emotional reactions are driven by the nervous system — not by a “weak mind.”
Because most people try to cope on their own
- And loneliness is one of the strongest factors intensifying emotional stress.
- Relational neurobiology shows that a sense of isolation increases amygdala activity (the brain’s fear center), even in psychologically healthy individuals.
Because what was wounded in relationship is healed in relationship
- Safe connections — even brief and momentary ones — support self-regulation, reduce anxiety, and help integrate difficult emotions.
- Co-regulation (regulation through another person) is a fundamental biological mechanism for calming the human nervous system.
Because the body needs space to let go
- Pausing, breathing, and presence are signals of safety that the brain recognizes faster than words.
- The nervous system responds to safety cues in less than 0.1 seconds — before you even have time to “think.”
Because no one should have to go through life alone
- And yet, most people do — in silence, in tension, in isolation.
- Research shows that a sense of belonging is one of the strongest predictors of psychological well-being.
It teaches you to see what has been unconscious.
And it helps you return to a life that feels lighter, calmer, and more truly yours.
How we support the process of change
Change does not begin with effort, but with a sense of safety. That is why we work in ways that allow for a gradual return to contact with the body, emotions, and oneself in relationship with others.
We help people understand where automatic protective responses come from, such as freezing, excessive control, people-pleasing, or difficulties with closeness. Through work with the body, breath, mindfulness, and the nervous system, we support a return to greater calm, flexibility, and inner stability.
We deepen this understanding through education about emotions, relationships, and the signals through which the body communicates its needs, as well as through experience in safe workshop-based and individual settings.

Who is this space for?
– Aleksandra Pawłowicz
This space is for you if:
- you live in chronic stress or emotional overload
- you struggle with boundaries, closeness, or trust in relationships
- you recognize people-pleasing, freezing, overcontrol, or withdrawal in yourself
- you want to better understand your reactions and get to know yourself more deeply
- you are looking for growth that is not based on pressure, but on safety and regulation
We work with adults, both individually and in groups. Sessions take place in person in the Tricity area as well as online, so you can join regardless of where you are.
Our workshops and practices are offered in both Polish and English to create a space accessible to people from different backgrounds and experiences.

Awareness is key to freeing yourself from limiting beliefs and beginning to create the life you truly desire.
We can help you “unlearn” everything that is not truly you — so that you can become who you were always meant to be, and create lasting, deep relationships with others and with yourself.

We can explore together whether Aware Space is what you are looking for right now.
A simple rhythm that can restore balance to the body and mind, calming the nervous system from within.
How it works
- 4 seconds inhale through the nose
- 7 seconds hold the breath
- 8 seconds slow exhale through the mouth
Why does it work?
An extended exhale increases vagal tone and CO₂ tolerance, which signals safety to the brain and helps shift the body out of fight-or-flight mode.
The 4-7-8 technique was popularized by Dr. Andrew Weil, a physician of integrative medicine.
Dr. Weil based it on ancient pranayama practices — he claims that when practiced twice a day for eight weeks, it significantly lowers baseline stress levels and works “like a natural tranquilizer” for the nervous system.
What does it do?
- Activates the parasympathetic nervous system (responsible for relaxation)
- Lowers heart rate and reduces anxiety
- Helps you fall asleep faster
- Regulates stress and emotional reactivity
